Buffet Redo

Alright, no laughing at me from all you professional furniture make-over artists. I had this buffet that I purchased at a garage sale as a newlywed. It has always served a great purpose in storing my wedding china and all our great wedding gifts. I just felt the need to add some color to my extremely brown living/dining room. What better color than "Canton Green?" As you can tell, I'm a beginner, but I really love the way the color came out. I first painted a basic black coat. Then I added a few patches of crackle medium. Maybe, you guys can help me out. I painted my first coat of the final color and the crackle looked really great, but the buffet really needed a second coat and in doing so, I covered most of the crackle. Maybe I wasn't using the correct brush to get a good coverage on the first coat. Finally, I added a stain/sealer. What do you think?

Okay, don't knock the mustard colored walls! I'm ready to change that too! Any suggestions!!??

  3. Check your email later on today. I will mail you a picture of the cupcake tag. I will need to know if you want it in that color or diff colors to match your wrappers. Also, I will need to know what you want on your wreath tags. Little Ava is here today! I have about 25 clips in my hair and pink lipstick all over my lips and mouth.

Forgot to mention! You can only go over crackle medium one time. Just put lots of paint on your brush with that first coat. The heavier your topcoat, the bigger your crackle. Also, it helps to keep whatever surface you are working on facing up until your topcoat dries. Hope this helps! :)
